LA: Visual & Game Programming Instructors (The Art Institute)

The Art Institute of California - Hollywood, a Los Angeles based design college is one of the Art Institutes, America’s leader in postsecondary career-oriented education for the creative arts. We offer degrees in Interior Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing & Management, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Digital Photography, Game Art & Design, Visual Game Programming, Set and Exhibit Design, Web Design & Interactive Media, and Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. Professional faculty, industry-driven curriculum and facilities and equipment keep our school at the forefront of creative education. We are located in the arts district of North Hollywood near Lankershim and Magnolia.

The Art Institute of California - Hollywood is looking for part-time instructors to teach in the Visual & Game Programming program. Our classroom sizes are small, and our labs include the latest in technology and software. Preparing academic curriculum and developing lesson plans is an important part of this position.

Classes are 4 hours in length and run for 11 weeks. Classes may be scheduled for Monday to Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (morning/afternoon classes) or evenings from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in computer programming, computer graphics, animation or related disciplines.
• Candidates must have strong and in-depth game art & design industry experience.
• Previous experience in teaching at a post secondary school environment or training is highly desirable.
• Must have references and a professional portfolio documenting your work.
• Local candidates only (living in the greater Los Angeles area)
