Banks is somewhat relieved to find that the bride and groom are not interested in a “big” wedding. A simple affair with a few friends will do. However, “the wedding” soon takes on a life of its own. The guest list balloons larger each day, a caterer is called in, a floral designer, furniture movers and dressmakers take over, and soon the Banks household is mounting in debt and laughs galore. Such is the madcap suffering of the father of the bride!
