This competition is about your story, your images and the power they hold. From Salvador Dalí to Cindy Sherman the self has been the subject of most all the art world’s greats. The self-portrait transcends medium, style and period, existing in the vast space between the personal and prophetic. We all have a self-portrait. Show us yours!
Our panel of judges including actor Steve Buscemi, director/producer Chris Weitz, Guggenheim Curator Helen Hsu and Flavorpill Founder Sascha Lewis will select one portfolio of self-portraits for The Grand Prize:

JCC Center Players will be holding auditions for the comedy “Father of the Bride” on Thursday, January 7th at 7pm and Saturday, January 9th at 2pm at the Roth JCC Maitland campus. 851 N. Maitland Ave. Maitland, FL 32751
Mr. Banks’ comfortable existence turns topsy turvy when, out of nowhere, his daughter announces her engagement. Letting go of daddy’s little girl wont be easy and a wedding can put a big dent in a man’s plans for early retirement. Still it is his only daughter. Banks is somewhat relieved to find that the bride and groom are not interested in a “big” wedding. A simple affair with a few friends will do. However, “the wedding” soon takes on a life of its own. The guest list balloons larger each day, a caterer is called in, a floral designer, furniture movers and dressmakers take over, and soon the Banks household is mounting in debt and laughs galore. Such is the madcap suffering of the father of the bride!
Acting roles for 11 men and 7 women all ages (including parts for children ages 8+) Please bring a monologue and be prepared to cold read. The show run dates are April 8, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 May 1 & 2.. .
